The Alesis Recital Pro has 88 weighted hammer action keys, respond well to dynamic play; and is very good for such price; can be powered with 6 D cell batteries. With sound similar to the real piano, and powerful education features. Excellent product.


The Yamaha P45 has 88 fully weighted piano style keys, good sound, is portable, is responsive, and definitely is a solid buy as is the lowest-cost that Yamaha offers.


The Kawai ES110 has 88 weighted keys, the sound is extremely close to an actual grand piano, and you can half-pedal with a fairly accurate sound, and probably is the best digital piano you can buy for under $1000.
